GS Triple Black frame paint code.

I wanted to fit genuine BMW engine guards to my bike but the BMW one's only come in silver. I thought about having them powder coated black, but I dont think they would look right.

Does anyone have the paint code / name of the colour so I can get them painted to match the frame?

If you're having them powder coated just ask for 40% gloss black. You will not notice the delicate shade differences between black powder and the BMW coating.

Trust me on this, you're over thinking it!

I think he's talking about either the cylinder protectors, or the engine bars.

Sorry folks, should of been clearer in my first post.

I wanted to buy the genuine BMW cylinder protectors that bolt to the frame, but they only come in silver as hows in the second picture.

I was going to buy a pair and then have them painted to match the dark grey frame as shown in the first picture, and as fitted to the Triple Black R1200 GS.

Will be interesting to see what they look like. I didn't bother as the headers will be silver anyway so I enjoy the contrast. Perhaps not ideal but you could get SW Motech bars in black.

Do make sure you buy the black winglets from BMW when you're next in. Such a small thing makes a big difference. Especially with a black screen.

I've left mine as is, just for a bit of a contrast. Some get theirs powdercoated black though.
