Hi anyone got a pair of (cleanish!) GS1 Boots size 41(UK7) They wanna part with , if so Im ya man! ta all! ianmac, will pay a good price

Be warned!

I got some GS2 boots (this year's model) for xmas, and after the first day of trail riding my 1200's seat had worn through on both sides. Seems the GS boots are not compatible with the GS bike!

They are good boots though, and my dealer has promised to "see me right" on the seat situation, so I'm not too worried.

cheers all, managed to find(by ringing round UK !) Last pair of new ones ! thanks again,Mouse someone else metioned same seat problem! Kinda puts me off, I understand that if you ride standing up this causes the seat to rub thru? not good design, hope you get your seat sorted!

Yes, it seems to be that standing up causes the boots to rub the seat. Not ideal for off roading boots really!

I think there would be a market for some sort of clip-on seat protector ...

Just had both my normal and my low GS12 seats replaced under warranty due to splitting when riding with GS1 boots. For some reason the wear was only on the left side with me. Maybe it's because of the gear shift being on that side?

Mine had greater wear on the left too. I am not sure there's any point my getting a replacement seat under warranty, it'll just wear out again. I'm hopefully getting a spare seat, so I can use the damaged one when I go green laning.

Is there ANY part of the 1200 that does not have its problems ?

Tried on a pair and stood on BMW,s demo bike , yes the left side rubs the most, could moving the big plastic black front of leg protecter (the bit with "GS1" on it) round , away from seat help as that seems to be the part that will do the damage? anyone bought these boots and NOT had damage to the seat?!

I've got sidi flex force boots and ride an 1150 Adv same problem left side of seat worn through, right side well on the way. Now fitted black duct tape to prevent further splitting. Gonna try and get side panels of seat recovered in soft leather or something more durable. Mentioned it to dealer who denied ever having heard of problem. Problem occurred after a few hours trail riding.
