Just a few shots of my friend’s R1150GS ‘Dakar Special’, or whatever you want to call it?! His workmanship is superb……he now paints classic bike parts for a living, scaling down his workload and moving to Lincolnshire from Sussex next week for an ‘easier’ life. If you have any tanks or bike panels that need painting , or you fancy a GS ‘special’ similar to this one, I’ll put you in touch 👍

That bike looks extreemly useable and simple.
Just what I think BMW should be making nowdays.
There must be space for simple...👍 Modern design seems obsessed with every bit of electronic bling imaginable but not necessarily making a better overall bike... Bonny looking special and still in keeping with the GS spirit...

Nailed it, that looks fab

Like mobile phones (I don’t want my works emails on my mobile phone), and even desktop phones, and ovens, air fryers, computers, fridges with built in computers to tell you what you put in and what you take and therefore need to replace. And cars and their electrickery - my friends 23 plate Subaru which he cannot just jump into and go, there are about 4 or 5 things he has to set before he goes anywhere. The list goes on…

Looks good. :thumb2
Agreed! It looks really good. My 1100 was a 75th anniversary model with the red & white tank - which in my head was the best coloured bike out of all the BMW colour combinations. R75EOS similar to the pic which is not my bike…
