You got a 1200GSA from a dealer for £8K, did you have to sleep with him???

Shep

Not exactly a "dealer" but you don't make it clear if you are envious of the price or the thought of (you) sleeping with the guy :ymca :augie

It's got the odd scuff where it was pushed over, but the way I look at it is - I could have paid £11,500 for it new and dropped it off the sidestand myself and have the same end-result :thumb2

My idea of depreciation-proof biking :thumb

Al, how could you turn it down your`re a Scot..:o .........no really it was the life time contract to the gardening that sealed the deal:clap

Shinyface :P

I hope you're not suggesting "gardening of the uphill variety :ymca " Mr Shinyface :nono

I have to seek out these bargains - I don't have a nice index-linked pension to keep me in toys, booze and cleaning products :green gri

A proper bargain indeed, and yes I am envious, but not of sleeping with a BMW dealer:nono :D Have you seen Steve at NOG:ymca2 :D

Now young man when thas as old as me ! tha needs a nice pension to keep tha self in goodies cos Bev don`t buy me everything........well not everything ! The down side of being old is that your not allowed to carry money just in case you may loose it!!!!! and you must remember to get up in the morning so you know what day it is .

Okay fellas nice hi jacking effort - what ya get up to with yer local dealer is up to you but to bring this thread back on track......

I have purchased brand new one R1200 GS Adventure in Alpine White with the spec I wanted at £10,600.

Having speant all day more or less Monday and then some of yesterday trawling through the delaerships and locating the best price I could I ended up in Guildford with Vines. I would however point out that Mills in Sunderland were most helpful and even emailed new piccies of there demo version in Grey and Pidcock have a none OBC version but with ABS and Heated Grips at a good price too - that is still boxed!!

Anyways, I will be one happy bunny come March; roll on 2007 I see this being a blinder - cannot wait to get out and have fun....see ya all soon.

Well done:thumb

Good choice at a good price, i'll take a guess that its a white one for that cost, they have trouble shifting them because they are slower:D

Enjoy

Dealer has just called to say they have located an option but has Chrome Exhaust - will do for no extra money - what do you think I said!! Yes please!!!

And info for anyone looking:

Steve At Mills in Sunderland has an Alumium Grey demo version with 350 miles on for £10,595 with ABS, OBC, Fogs, Heated Grips and White Indicator lens;

and Ritchie at Pidcocks in Nottingham have one still crated in Alpine White but with only ABS and Heated Grips for similar money. Although he can obviously fit extras you need but OBC a little too costly to retro fit.

If you look hard enough and ask around they are out there.....PM me if you wanna know who I contacted and there prices.

Well done.

I'd been in that situation myself and one day I suddenly, on impulse, bought a R12GSA that was a cancelled order sitting at my dealer and took delivery 2 hours later and haven't regretted it one bit. Whilst I have kept my K12S the GSA is the best bike I've owned and I plan to keep this one long term.

Enjoy!

Well I'm sure you'll enjoy the new bike, can't fault the GS at all, although you may not have realised it there is a way you can buy a brand new GSA for about £9k with every extra you can think of, it does involve joining the Army and being posted to Germany, doing numerous tours of Iraq and Afgan and probably getting shot at quite abit but hey, for a saving of £1500 who could say no:eek:

I got a 6 week old 12GSA demo bike from williams in November, fully loaded with only 600 miles on it for 10500, I even got a good trade in on the Mille. I haven't looked back since!
