hi bit of advice needed i have searched on here for the proceedure for connecting the bmw charger part no 71.60.7.688.864 to my 2009 gs1200 and cant find any?
i know when i bought the charger from A.Jefferies they told there was a certain way you had do it but this was a year a go i cant for the fecking life me remember :tears

battery charged

if it is a charger intended for a canbus system, leave the ignition on, engine not running, plug in charger, switch mains power on, wait about 10 seconds, switch bike ignition off. the charger and the bike should have introduced themselves and should be charging away.

hope i am right! you should see the light change on your charger, green power in, maybe red first as to battery condition and after some time, green there too(assuming the battery is charging). safe riding.working off memory, what with snow and stuff haven't looked at the bikes in weeks. if the thaw continues, might get out, just to check the bikes.:aidan
