Can anyone recomend where I can get a replacement for the sticky Velcro pad which sticks to the tank then zips to the tank bag to secure the bag in place. I have tried a dealer and they say they are not available.

i bought one from CW bmw in the summer. £20ish IIRC.
...or buy a bit of 3M dual lock from ebay if you have the original bit.

i bought a pack of two tankbag velcro strips from my local dealer,about 4 quid i think and they were gen bmw parts
Go to your local DIY store and buy a roll of self adhesive velcro. For a few quid you can have several metres of the same stuff. Or pay more to BMW for a strip about four inches long..........................................
i dont want several meters of velcro thanks,why dont you buy it cut it into srips and sell it on here
i was a bit unsure whether the OP needed the bit with the zip or not. i seem to recall CW not doing just the velcro, although it certainly used to be obtainable from bmw seperately.

Good idea. Hows about £2-50 a pop? I'll even put a BMW logo on the packaging if you like. I'll use the proceeds for my next FD rebuild.
