gs650,and vario panniers

Hi all,will vario panniers off a 1200gs fit on a gs650,cheers.

I don't think so. The mounting points on the 1200 are totally different to the 650. I doubt very much you could buy a rail to match them. I'd go for Givi Trekkers if I were you (as I did when I had my G650GS)
