What are your opinions of it?
Did you up grade or down grade?
How is it for the pillion?.

I have had a test ride on the standard 800 and found it to be a bigger version of my x country.
I have a 1200GS which is great 2 up traveling around Europe

Sat on one in my Dealers Cramped compared to my GSA but I'm 6 fooot 6 . Nice details , but the chain also put me off

I bought one love it have had 3 rts 1 800 st 1 1200 adv 1 gs and more. Yes if I had money I would perefer 1200 adv not standard gs. I recommend it. JJH

Not bothered about it been chain driven. At least you can see what's going, And with regular maintenance they will last many miles.

I've ridden the 1200ADV, Not that impressed with it, Too big and heavy to be practical. I like a bike to be able to carry 2 people and luggage and still be nimble enough to flick about.

I'm also looking at one to replace my 12gs as a change after 4 GS's on the trot. I'm mostly 1 up apart from two longer trips per year.
Also are there any differences between the MY13 & MY14 models. If not a demonstrator might be an option.
Any reports out there.
