So Got it and I love it!!:D Nice and smooth ,Great to look at and a pleasure to ride. Nice Noise as well with the Exup Valve ,and more or less vibration free once on the move ,though more audible when stationary. Running in is no chore as you can take it to 5500 rpm .I really liked my SE but this ticks even more boxes for me. Chandlers did a great Job getting it sorted ,and they have my SE if its not already sold:thumb2. So if you are thinking of getting one DO IT:thumb:thumb2

Nice

Saw an Italian reg one of these in the Alps last weekend. Looked lovely in the flesh...I was awfy tempted.
Got to buy another car though, so might keep the 1150ADV for another 120,000kms

Unless of course me lottery numbers come up :D

Looks nice, but thing is in my experience of watching GSers on this forum is that it'll be standard for a while, then modified with all-over Matt black paint, and Keihan headers, making it back to your standard GSA...

Not sure what is so special edition about this... BMW could have gone a lot further to entice current owners to trade-in I reckon...

saw one this morning. generally very nice, but the decals on the tank are certainly "special".

or shit as many sighted people would say.

Just like my Alpine White 06 GSA :hide

Very Similar, thats what I like about it. I sold My Alpine White 2006 GSA to raise the money to do A Himalayan Adventure trip and always regretted selling it. The New GSA 30 is all I want in a GS and goes like stink out of the box .I dont need an Akro or Remus headers so it will stay standard,I'm flogging all the bling from the SE on here hopefully .Its a proper bike. I dont care if its a way of flogging them before a replacement model comes along, its all about evolution not revolution with GS's ,and I feel this bike is a well evolved Machine:D Plus it sounds GREAT!!!!:bow

Called in the local dealership today and I'm sorry to buck the love-in on how great it is but I thought it wasn't that special. Although looking like any other 1200/Adv/800/650 the worst thing about it was the tank decals. Cheap and nasty and nowhere near as cool as the original it was trying to mimick. Supposedly a homage to the early 80GS? Pah! I asked a salesman if the decals could be pealed off but he confirmed it was laquered on. He couldn't even tell me what the extra £400 price tag was for although he did mention that...."it did have a red seat" :blast :nenau
Just appears to be another BMW marketing scam to get suckers into buying a "Special" bike which isn't too different from their others.

Each to their own, eye of beholder type territory me thinks....

Which is why I just took delivery of a new 2010 GSA in the smoke grey mettalic matt!!

Initial call to Bahnstormers circa 11am on 29th June, my 2008 GSA picked up at 17:00 same day, nice gleeming new 2010 bike with Garmin mount transferred across delivered to my door circa 6pm on 30th June. Great service! :thumb
