So I have decided I'm selling my 2012 GSA and have started looking for my new one.

Have just come across a 2016 absolute mint (nearly no miles on it) 2016 but priced around the same as similar 2017 models.

It's from a dealer with the warranty but I was wondering has anyone any experience of the 2016 models AND 2017 when I believe there were transmission changes - did these changes make a noticeable difference to the gear changing or smoothness of pulling away etc.

Were there any other notable differences between the two years (the 2016 does have the gear shift pro which was at the time and option not standard)

Buying a new bike gives me a real headache!

I went from an 06 to a 16

Gaearshift pro fitted as std not aftermarket (mine was )

It clunks going into first, when cold no, when hot yes

the clutch is 100 times lighter than on a hexhead

go for a testride on a 16 plate

its souless compared to the hexhead, it just does what is has to do ;) , not in a bad way, but devoid of any emotion sos to speak

I have a 2015 bike and into which I fitted a 2017 engine and gearbox.
The gearbox is leaps and bounds better than the 2016 and earlier version.
Get the 2017 onwards one. Much better.

Had a 2014 model GSA TE and now a 2018 model GSA Basic and the gearbox on the later bike is vastly better , GSAP is a gimmick and not worth having.

Where the GSAP scores is when carrying a pillion.......avoids the annoying clunk of helmets. Otherwise I agree with you
