Anybody fitted a pillion back rest to the GSA Ali top box? if so please share the info because the pain in SWMBO back transfers to a dull whine in my lughole! :D
Tom

I did it.
I had a chap altering my GSA seat one day and he made up a pad.
I cut a piece of half inch ply about 2x10 inches and he cut a piece of foam and covered it with the same stuf he covered the seat with.
He also sculpted it a bit and stiched it to make a very profesional job.
I would post a pic if I could work out how to do it.
I know the pic posting instructions are on here, but I am totally useless with instructions.
Mrs Tools is very happy with it.
I actually drilled 2 holes in the top box and screwed it on, but it might be better to velcro it on and then you could also use it on a pannier if you use one as a top box one day.

Mike.

Hi Tom,i attached a backpad from my old plastic topbox.
tried the velcro thing ,decided it was too easy to lose or get nicked.
then drilled 1 small hole to fix it on.
you need to play with a cardboard pattern first.
the pad needs to clear the mouting plate bar.
you cant remove the topbox without opening the lid first, but thats not a problem
