Can anyone confirm if the fog lamp switch is covered by the (extended) warranty? The warranty booklet is vague.

If it's not switching properly a sliver of yoghurt pot or milk bottle plastic under the rocker will sort it out.
BMW might replace it but they often develop the sand problem.

Get rid of it and replace it with the little SW Motech waterproof switch. €25 and a bit of wiring.

I was told that switches were not covered by the extended warranty, I had to pay for an ignition switch and a clutch lever switch,
Though as said above I did repair the foglight switch on the missus's adv with a piece of plastic from a spray tin lid, so that the switch held the micro switch down more.

Is the switch you repaired the type that is fitted on top of the left hand switches for ESA ,Computer functions etc .Or is it the older type fitted in the centre of the handlebars ?

My indicator switch failed on the same day another £200 ish along with the speed sensor and fuel level sensor but the last two were covered thank god.

Unbelievable though it all happened at once?

Common denominator might be a clumsy mechanic.
