Hi All,
Have a 10 plate GSA with metal foot rests (standard ones).

Anyone fitted alternatives or mods?

I find them a problem as they sometimes snag the bottom of my Daytona boots which yesterday resulted in me toppling over!

Left the Ace Cafe, pulled up at the lights and boot caught foot rest, bike passed point of no return and I'm over...it was that simple.

Standard GS pegs an option? Do they fit?

Thanks...

Hi mate.
As far as I know they do make rubber that fit the GSA foot rests. Try nippy Normans or touratech. Sorry you came off. No to much damage hopefully.

Try any BMW dealer, as per the second post's link.:beerjug:

All,
Thanks for your help.
Have emailed Ocean Bikes, Plymouth who are doing a conversion to rubber kit for £31.
Reference damage-scratch to the cylinder head protector and one to the engine bar. Both minor but annoying! Wasn't moving..my foot snagged on rest as I went to put it down at lights. Junction very busy at the time..felt a right tw*t!

Thanks again for the help..

£31? I got the genuine rubber inserts plus fixing bracket for £23 from my BMW dealer :thumb2

Had the rubber inserts supplied and fitted FOC, mind you cost me £15k for a new GSA!! They are well worth it, much more comfortable, I think they fitted a little attachment to the brake lever to bring it up in height or is that bit standard on a GSA anyway??

£15k, the joys of the VAT hike eh? :(
The little attachment you speak of is standard and you can flick it up or down depending on on-road/off-road riding :thumb

Found these sometime ago. Not a recommendation as I never followed up on them as they seem a bit expensive and I don't like the idea of buying anything off the internet from overseas from some company I've never heard of. I think they also have an ebay shop but that doesn't fill me with confidence either - but you might be braver!

Perhaps someone from here might knock up something if there is the demand. Calling Mr Hooton.....

Sorry to hear you dropped the bike - join the club ! Think positive it's a GS and meant to have the odd dent ! It's what they call in the trade an honest machine!

Fek me. Thats one expensive condom.

I dont find the standard pegs a problem at all. Each to their own i suppose.
