GSA Headlight

I've got a brand new 61 plate GSA (Alpine Sandrover). I have noticed on this one that the suspension is a lot softer on the back end than on my last GSA. With the winter nights now firmly in I seem to be blinding drivers from behind and oncoming, as when you power on (even smoothly) the front comes up, back goes down and the headlight then dazzles drivers.

Would be interested to know if anyone else is having a problem. The bike has been back once already as initially the headlamp was set too high.

I'm having the same problem with my (new to me) 2006 GS - I've had the headlight unit out completely and everything's now adjusted to get as much dip as possible - both vertical and lateral adjusters screwed in/out respectively, and I've even set the level lever to the "fully loaded" position. Suspension settings are fine and I'm 12 stone wet through so definitely something amiss with the headlight! I'm at the point of considering modifying the small locating peg below the headlight to get more dip!

Check to make sure you have located the headlight correctly as I have had a similar problem in the past and its easy to get wrong.

i wonder if the reflector has popped off it's internal mountings, cos that is not normal at all.

That's interesting Stu, I had an 09 plate one previous and didn't have any problems. Hope you get it sorted mate

i wonder if the reflector has popped off it's internal mountings, cos that is not normal at all.

It had! And what a faf to get it relocated again ....... but it's not any better It had become detached when I swapped a bulb!

hehe - I actually like the sand colour.. would have preferred it if they left the sand out of the seat....... could see the colour scheme working with some canvass and khaki accessories

sounds like it's not back in place properly then. what else could it be? the bulb in the wrong place?

gotta be one or the other surely?
