GSA heat issue not on GS?

Given that the two are essentially the same bike why do so many biker mates tell me their GSA runs hot under their right leg? No issues on my 2016 GS. Just wondering...

Different fan coweling I guess, the cooling fan blows hot air out to the right just in front of your leg, must be better designed on the GS

The bigger fuel tank probably causes a redesign of the cooling path
