Hi all. I just thought I would share with you a great blast I had this morning in the GS.

After a test stint on the new KTM1290 Super Adventure last week. That bike just wants you to be a hooligan. That engine wants you to give it a handful of abuse and when you do you are justly rewarded.

So I went for a blast this morning on the trusty GSA. The KTM did nothing to take away my love for the Big "G".

In Dynamic mode I normally treat her well and she gives me a soothing and rewarding ride every time. But today I decided I would give her some grief just cos I could.

Oh my word. I am still grinning.

Easily cutting through traffic which quickly disappeared in my wake and the boxer howling like a banshee as the red line loomed large.

Fearing for my licence I duly backed off (a bit) but let the bike run through the bends and not dabbing the brakes as I usually do. New for me testing the levels of grip and seemingly nearing knee down territory.

I think the KTM just wants you to be a hooligan. The GS can be a hooligan if you ask, and believe me I not only asked I insisted.

The KTM is a great bike and has now given me a new appreciation of the GS and a new found level of hooliganism I never thought I nor the GS were capable of.

I am still very happy with my GS no plans to change. Big grins all round.

She may come second the the KTM but she wont be far behind.

The GSA is certainly a Jekyll & Hyde bike.:thumb

That ride report sounds like an attempt to be a bike journo :D

had a session with a race instructor this weekend and know exactly what you mean. It's only when you push it you realise how much more there is in the locker

A nice thing about the GS/GSA is that its comfortable at slow speeds, you can ride it relaxed if you want to.

You start relaxing on the KTM and it will quickly cook your ass just to remind you that relaxing is not allowed :D

I could not agree with you more, the 1290 just did not want to pootle along :thumb:
It reminded me about one of them little dogs you see straining on the owners leash begging to be let loose

Funny, someone else said that. I did used to be an athletics journo many years back, maybe that's it. :)
