Folks.

I've just learnt about the inner bottle storage space on the RHS of my GSA tank panels.

To save me crawling around too much who's used what bottle in there to store some engine oil? I'm thinking drinks bottles or smaller oil bottles that are readily available in the supermarkets rather than some gold plated diamond encrusted Touratech jobbie..

I was also advised that this space is not talked about anywhere in the BMW documentation as there was an 'incident' in the US, I'm assuming with a bottle or similar becoming detached at some point in the past...

The septics have charcoal canisters and stuff in that space. Norman the Nippy will sell you a bottle and a retaining strap if you can't find a bottle that fits yourself.

mmm just make sure whatever you use can handle being hit by a stone or debris or your cheap solution will have your bike covered in oil & possibly you on your arse.

:blast Not sure if the Toilet GSA has this hole.........

sep·tic (sep-tik)
adjective.
1. Of, relating to, having the nature of, or affected by sepsis.
2. Causing sepsis; putrefactive.
3. (of a wound etc) full of or caused by germs that are poisoning the blood.

septic tank
a tank in which sewage is partially purified by the action of bacteria.

Sceptic [ˈskɛptɪk]
noun
1. (Philosophy) a person who habitually doubts the authenticity of accepted beliefs
2. a person who mistrusts people, ideas, etc., in general

Do you mean that you doubt that this is a hole for charcoal canisters and stuff in that space, or a sore place?

Oh dear - What have I started?

Scottoiler bottle has been under 3 of my bikes now and filled and emptied intentionally several times, perfect as it has a see through graduation on the side. Find a sports bike rider and nick one off them, or dare I say it buy one. 2 x 6mm screws and a rubber strap off a diving mask or similar and away you go.
