I'm not sure which statement has the most ridiculous contradiction in it, a 1200 that's reliable or.......

A Sunbeam that goes racing.........

:D :D

p.s. 5k and all's well, nothing to shout about ;)

My GSA has done 12,000 miles with no problems as well !

Be out of warranty next month though, so I suppose it's due to drop to bits then :hide

Think I'll take out the BuMW extended warranty for at least the first year

Seeing as my 1200GS had gone through 2 gearboxes, a rear frame, fuel pump, 2 throttle cables, brake servo system and some other garbage by 10,000 miles you can see why I'm happy with the Yamaha. I wish you well on your BMW. I'll never have another.

That should please the guy who bought it,

nor would i.

Riding to work last month on the motorway, I looked at the mileometer and it read 12345! Freaky that I happened to look at it then.

Rich

Both our 09 1200s have a combined mileage of 50000. Better get em down to the dealers as must be due to turn to dust...:D

My 04 keeps plodding on but its an early one made before production was increased to meet demand and sod the quality. It owes me nothing now

this thread was meant to be a tongue in cheek snipe at the tenere contingent :blast
