Picked up new GSA on Monday, windblast and turbulence is far worse then on my previous standard GS LC, has anybody fitted the small standard GS screen to the GSA.? I don't want an even taller screen or clip ons
Apart from that nice bike gearbox no probs or anything else, do miss that smaller flywheel a bit mind, but this engine is a lot smoother.

I have the standard screen on my GS. The bit at the top of travel is for the angle of the screen. That seems to effect the wind blast a lot. Have a play with that.

But if you want to swap I can do that.

You are going to need a clip on or another screen. My problem was the deflected wind was catching the peak on my Arai Tour X causing real issues.

I have just fitted a MRA Vario Screen with adjustable spoiler which has cured the buffeting :thumb

However..... I personally think the Vario looks to small on the GSA. My solution is to fit the adjustable spoiler to the original screen. In fact I'm waiting for my tinted screen still  only 8 weeks now

The curvature of the Vario is almost the same as the OEM screen so I'm hoping all will be ok.

Nice bike by the way.

Jon :beerjug:

I found that worked for me,so i fitted a Puig sports screen.
Try it without the screen

puig screen

I found smaller worked better for me :thumb

Does anyone have a picture of the tinted GS screen on a GSA?

Means heavier crankshaft as standard on all GSA-LC now and all GS from model year 2015 onwards.
2013 and 2014 are fare more beastly, feisty and bring the boy racer out in you:D

I know what it means…..I've just taken delivery of my GSA, and it's fekkin awesome! Just couldn't understand why Wolf GB said he missed the lighter crank?!!
I also think all the posts I've read on here about clunky gearboxes, noisy engines etc are feeble…..it's a fantastic motorbike, with a brilliant engine, handling etc and a worthy development of the previous model. Get out and enjoy it, you tossers! :D

Hey there "filbe"
Yes the new GSA is a brilliant bike, just saying you do notice the different engine characters to the GS. On my fith GS now and their all have been totally reliable.
Off for a blast now, must get to Brighton one day:thumb

Once you've got your glasses, you'll see that the GSA one is taller:P

Not quite tall enough for me though. I will be fitting the MRA visor to the bmw tinted GSA screen..... When it gets here!

The MRA Vario I fitted has cured the buffeting on the peak of the tour x but I personally think the MRA looks a bit to small as the bike is err.... Quite fat at the front end :D

Fair enough Wolf! I'm on my 4th, and have tried all the competitors, but the GSs reign supreme for me! Quite fancied the KTM 1190 though, but then you've got the chain…!

I have tinted GS screen fitted to GSA. Wanted a smaller screen for summer and off roading. A lot of wind blast. Which is fine for summer. Looks the dogs. Will take a pic and post soon.
