Leaving the practicality debate aside and taking it from an aesthetics point of view they don't match with any of the design on the bike, at least any I can see from the pictures.
In the second picture there is a view of the cylinder head and from that angle I'd say if the lines of the head were mirrored by the guard it would look much better. My opinion is that the guards look more 1100/1150 ish in so far as they are curved when the 1200's are more angular which is causing a clash between the bike and the guard more than complimenting each other's design.
As usual though good quality.
I really agree with this - I do need to design angles into it.
