Ive recently bought a twin cam GSA but I need a low seat. Apart from the Sgt seat any other recommendations? Cheers

Wives can be very witty like that, my missus is the same height as me, but 3" longer of leg.
But perhaps you weren't seeking that information. Anyway the Sargent seat is the only low seat worthy of the dosh, the others based on the BMW pan just have thinner foam and are damned uncomfortable for that reason. The Corbin is very comfortable, but too wide if you've got short legs.
The low seat off the GS will fit.

Yonkyo - how do you find the comfort with a more thinly padded seat?
FWIW...Had my GSA stock seat lowered by 25-30mm here www.motorbike-seats.co.uk (Coventry)
£95 including gell insert. Not riden much since, but did do a ride to Sheffield (120m round trip) and it seemed fine. Still very comfy. The guy did it while I waited and watched (about 1hour). Taking some out of the width made a big difference too.

I find the GS low seat to be more comfy than the OEM GSA jobbie.
However, i find the OEM GS seat is the best compromise.

Hi there - there are several threads on this but another more extreme option is to have the bike lowered.
I`d be more than a dick then I normally am
if I didn`t give a balanced opinion for you to consider despite being a fan of the lowering:
Pros -
Seems to make the handling much better.
Increases confidence on the bike at low speeds (if you only are an occasional rider - I get to ride only one or two days a week).
Much easier to `paddle` backwards when sat on the bike.
The shocks (Wilbur) IMHO seem to be better quality.
Cons -
Bloody expensive.
Once done thats it - its not like changing a seat back.
Reduced groud clearance - not a problem for lightweights like me but it would be a negative for the hard core/purist geezers.
Whatever - I hope you get to make the right decision for you!

Thanks for all your input chaps. The sgt seat would be the choice but at over £500 quid arouns xmas think I might struggle to get it past the war office

Lowered mine, sidestand needed the thick plate I'd fitted removed, bit harder to get onto the main stand, and the insurance (Devitts) wanted a bike dealer to check I'd fitted the shocks properly. That cost a tenner.
But the shocks are a lot more than a low seat, although you do get a better ride with Wiblers.
