I was at dealers today, and i looked at the triple black & the adventure, what would be the better one to buy, as i like the adventure, but the triple balck had lots of extras for a few hundred more...the adventure was a 61 plate 12000 and the triple black with less milege was a 62 plate :nenau

gsvgsa

Go new- fantastic offer o both of 2K worth of freebies. Just bought the 90 year gsa- soooooperb deal. Looks fab.

Opened the fridge door, and seen a lasagne in there, also a nice looking pack of sausages.

The lasagne will be faster to chuck in the microwave, and I've got a bit of salad left over from yesterday that I could have with it, - the sausages will take longer to cook, but they are pork and Stilton..

So, my question is, should I wear ATGATT while cooking them, and what oil should I use?

Well if it was me i would get the newer lower mileage one....that said, ive got a gsa! 320 plus miles on a tank is great if you hate petrol stations though its a heavy beast fully fueled so make sure youre man enough!

You really do need to try both.

If you got long legs and don,t like have to stop for fuel .....GSA every time. If you like the TB , plenty used ones coming on the market.

They are both very different to ride due to their suspension travel and damping.

I prefer the GS as it handles better thanks to its lower centre of gravity and firmer suspension. Plus I have short legs :P

OK, I will take the bait. Agree with the above OP in that e spite my initial scepticism, they do feel different. The extra weight of the GSA does make it feel more planted on the road and to me, more stable on a high speed motorway slog.

The fuel tank range thing for me is a complete red hearing unless you intend to travel extensively outside Europe. Then there are the looks, I simply prefer to look of the GSA. Also, with no scientific evidence what so ever, it seemed to me when I was looking for my GSA that the depreciation is less than on the GS.

Finally, I prefer the top loading pannier and better weather protection of the GSA but frankly both of these things are easily sorted on the GS.

Only other comment is that I recently rode a mates TC GS and was surprised about how much easier it was to handle around town and theow around. So, if you are expecting to do a lot of town riding or scratching the GS IMO is the better bike.

I do like the styling and especially the larger fuel tank of the GSA (I really appreciate the 250-300 mile fuel range of my RT which means that I now generally only have to fill up once per day on tour), but prefer the GS handling.

Now, if I could have WC GS with a 26+ litre tank it'd be perfect :thumby:
