Any body local to Hampshire know how to rekey the pannier locks to my ignition key?

I don’t have any wafers - but I do have a key and can lock unlock

Just be easier if keyed to ignition

Watched the videos and it looks a fiddle faff

I will come to you - and pay in beer or wine or Coffee and breakfast if meeting up..

Two panniers, so four locks??

Cheers

Twiz

Happy to do them for you Twizzle if you want to send the locks and key. I’ve got wafers and springs.
Shirley there will be 6 locks in total? Four for the lids plus two for the clasps to hold them onto the racks.

I’m up in NE Lincolnshire though…

Thanks for the offer Steve, was kinda looking for a lazy ride in ride out kinda thing….

If I don’t get any more local luck - I’ll take a day trip out to you!!!

It’s an 1150 GSA so only two locks per pannier, one to frame and one on the lid !

I’ve been watching this thread hoping that someone close to you would offer their services. But it’s looking increasingly unlikely.

The questions I need to ask before I commit, are:-

a. Are you in a hurry to have your locks recoded. I’m retired, but busy all this week and weekend.
b. would you be available during the week or strictly weekends. I prefer weekdays, but could manage a weekend.
c. Just whereabouts roughly are you in Hampshire. So I can figure out rough compass heading.

Hi Twiz,

I’m Abingdon based and can help, but not for a few weeks.

Where in Hamps?

Thanks Ian/Nin ..

Firstly I’m in no rush at all - as I have a key and the panniers can be used - it’s my ocd that wants them keyed to ignition!!

I’m on the south coast near Portsmouth - but I would come to you - as not looking to put anybody out…

Unless you have a desire for a trip to the coast!!

Nin, I’m happy for little ride out to Abingdon!

But as said - no rush

Or Swindon Ian…. Both are easily accessible…

Thanks..

The Apache Cafe would be a reasonable meeting place for me.

If you don’t know where it is, it’s part of the Museum of Army Flying at Middle Wallop. It’s open year round and has a good car park. Additionally it’s about mid way between us, and an enjoyable ride for me.

Thanks Ian - that sounds like a plan - I’ll send you a PM ref when etc!!

I do work still - so if it’s not too cheeky , a Saturday or Sunday is best as I’ve no leave left this year.

Cheers

That’s a great stop.

If Ian can’t get this sorted in the next few weeks let me know - I have weekends free from late Nov.
