Good news!

I've been arguing the toss about this with my dealer for some months. They ordered the new part (as advised by BMW) and the same old rubber job turned up. I've given them the new number and I'm hopeful that this will get fixed at last.

Mine turned up using the part # in previous posts and it is indeed the plastic inserts.
