My cousin had the same problem on his WC GS just b4 the 6k service,the dealer replaced rear disc and pads under warranty.

My 13 wc pads went in 4000 miles, replaced under warantee.
The 14 gsa has had trip to UK, UGP, track day. Plus comuting. All done in a spirited manner.
I dont drag the brake pedal.
Grounded now. CBX1000 to ride in the morning or Mary,s Ninja.

Well at least you clocked it before you shagged the disc, not like someone I know... "the best lessons are the most expensive ones" as I was told.

I think linked brakes eat the back pads, you are using the back brake every time

I was inclined to trail my 1150 back brake a bit. Adjusted it to give a bit more travel for both the brake and the brakelight.

What an organisation.
BMW recovered to Dublin, fitted new pads and disk, returned the bike to me in Galway.
Quality of service from Joe Duffy Motorrad, they didn't ask me a single question just fixed it for me FOC.
