GSA Screen for 08 GS?

I thought I saw a thread some time ago about fitting a GSA screen on a standard GS. Cant locate it now with the search tools.

Anyone got a link or have info on which bits I need to order to fit the screen? Is it just the Screen and the upright support bar? or are there more screws etc necessary.

I have the NN winglets already but would like the higher screen to compliment them.

Hi,

I ordered one about 3 weeks ago and it still isnt here due to the fact that there is a shortage of the extra bar, just ask your dealer he will order the whole lot, you do need extra bits as well as the bar and screen and all in all it comes to £300....... up you get if you just fell over

I instaled a GSA screen on my 07' GS yesterday. I use only the original attachment points. If it works I will not order the GSA bits

RoteEddie, have you been out on the bike with Adventure screen (but no second bracket) at all? I have the screen in my shed but have been waiting a month for the bracket from the dealer. I assumed there would be to much vibration with the big screen without bracket. I'm off to Scotland at the weekend and am tempted to fit the new screen but won't have chance to try it out before setting off on Friday. Cheers.

Not tested yet. If the rain stays away tomorrow I'm off for a testride

Went out for a spin this morning. It works! Only tested to ca 100 km/h, but I wouldn't hesitate to use it while waiting for the GSA bracket.

I have a GSA screen on my '08 GS. The main reason that I got the GSA screen was so that I could mount a GPS on the bar but I am starting to appreciate the extra wind protection.

Can't believe I still haven't got hold of this bracket (ordered August 8). Finally gave up and installed as suggested by RoteEddie i.e. without extra bracket. Haven't had it much over 80mph/ 130kph but it's not bad at all...some vibration but nothing too disturbing. I don't intend to cancel order but won't be losing any sleep over its absence in the meantime. The GSA screen is a big improvement. Quite chilly today and I appreciated the extra protection.
