hello all, may have been covered already but cant find a thread, so here goes,

been looking at getting a gsa screen to go on my gs as the standard one is crap and the mra vario i have is too marrow and low, so i went into vines guidford last week to ask about prices etc and they told me that they wouldnt sell me one as the frame on the front of the 07gs isnt designed to tkae the extra weight and will cause the frame to crack and fall off causing death and destruction

now is this the case or are they just saying it top stop people buying the gsa screen? they even said that they had one in the other week that this had happened to.

has anyone had this happen to them? or is it a load of old bo***ks?

if it is the case then think the ergo screen may have to be done!

If you buy the extra bracket along with the screen then it is perfectly alright - dozens of people do it, and some dealers even offered bikes built to this spec as a packaged deal.

I have no idea why they said that - unless they thought you were going to take just the screen without th extra bracket (and even then it sounds like bolloxs to me).

They MIGHT be confusing people fitting the winglets onto their bodywork without brackets - but again many people on here say this is just fine too. Either way, you'd expect a dealer to have a bit more knowledge than they appear to have shown when telling you that!

Get on the phone to Bahnstormers and ask for Darren - very nice chap, and sorted out all the parts that I needed to add to my 07 GS (many of the parts are COMMON to both GS and GSA, and he knows exactly what the delta is).

Cost is around the £300 mark mind, so not a cheap mod.

cheers for that, i asked for the bracket and the screen as theres no point in ordering it without it,
ill be calling bahnstormers in the morning!
