Hi

I recently met a GS'er in Prestige who told me about a mod to cure the inaccurate odo, so I purchased a drive from a R1150R as advised, but I can't get it to fit, also I thought that the ratio was 2.8:1 but it seems the 1150R's drive is 2.6:1 to work with a 17" rim. As the Adv has a 19" rim and a 3:1 drive the advised ratio of 2.8:1 would seem about right but B*M don't make any bikes with 18" fronts.

The part no. I purchased was 62 12 7 650 348 if this helps.

Can anybody help

Thanks

Richard

My GS ADV was bought with UK specs and so has an MPH speedo. As my riding is all outside UK I use the GPS in km and have found that the kph reading from the speedo is more accurate than the mph reading when compared to the GPS. Maybe the markings on the speedo dial are not spot on. One day when I have time I shall switch the GPS to mph to see what happens.

Thanks Ritchie but I am actually in Bulgaria and the bike is in Georgia! Should be able to manage it next week.
