With all due respect Sir... whilst your feedback is welcomed... I think however, you have contradicted yourself in your previous post...
quote...
"which is exactly how rumours spread and various businesses end up getting a bad reputation, despite having nothing to do with the event in the first place"
Kindly note, the original OP did not quote "Various Businesses", or for that matter any other business - only a reference to an Ibis car park in error,
Your post however, proceeds to describe a business as a "Scabby looking AirB&B" and provided a direct link to the location of this business premises and surrounding retailers. I'm not sure you can be absolved from your own original criticism.
The original intention of the OP was to highlight the plight and misfortune of this YouTubers GSA theft, sadly for him, on his first day touring with his son, and to furthermore re-emphasis security issues all fellow UKGSERs, to take care to secure their trusty steeds whilst venturing from this Sceptred Isle.
Are you trying to protect your own hide by questioning if bods should…
… when a motorcycle in fact was stolen from a carpark outside of an AirBnB, located a mile away from the hotel carpark that you have suggested it was stolen from.
Yes it is unfortunate, yes it is annoying and gutting to have anything stolen.
However the bike was stolen from a bloke who was all to blasse about leaving in unattended on the outskirts of a pretty big city, which he’s unlikely to have had any reasonable knowledge of the area that he had planned to stay in, whilst wondering about a scabby looking apartment (£40 a night???), whilst taking footage for his YouTube channel.
My reference of a “scabby looking apartment” wasn’t so much to a AirBnB owners business, more to a general appearance of the apartment. The owner no doubt has set a price to mirror the general appearance, condition and location of the apartment. After all same can be said for a chain of scabby looking (
fact) Formula 1 Hotels all over the France, they are cheap, but you get what you pay for, there are people who do use them, or else they wouldn’t still be in business. I personally wouldn’t use them again after only a single experience in 2017, nor would I have chosen to stay in the “scabby looking apartment” shown in the video, knowing that it is within easy reach of a motorway network and on the outskirts of a big city , the carpark outside is huge and is unlikely to be observed by anybody who would be remotely be giving two shits or indeed looking out for my bike whilst I dream of seven virgins.
The outskirts of Reims aren’t much different to outskirts of Paris, New York, Birmingham or indeed London. The opportunists will prowl or lye low in hope of an easy prey.
Keep your eyes peeled on your belongings and even more so on your surroundings, choose wisely (where you are staying), lock it up (don’t be lazy), irrespective of where you are, at home or abroad.
