hi , just a quick query,
i'm planning on fitting GSA suspension to my standard GS . when i measured the 2 centre stands today the gsa is approx 2" taller than the standard ,so , i'm guessing that i need to change that too ?? also , what about the side stand ?? does that need changed ?? and are there any other considerations before i attempt to do the swapover ??
thanks in advance .... kirky :beerjug:

I haven't done it myself but I would imagine that you would need a longer sidestand too. With the higher ADV shocks fitted she's bound to lean over much more on the stand. At the very least an ice hockey puck under the foot of the standard sidestand would be a good help and would keep her a bit more upright.

just done mine :thumb2 you will need a centre stand the side stand i got just had a bit added to the bottom i have seen these bits advertised somewhere they say the shaft is different so i got an adv one but it seems to go ok with the standard one so mibys leave it also heard something about the torque arm but couldn't get a definitive answer ,,,i have an adv rear shock here you can have ( the first one i got but seamed a bit tired ) if you want it you could get it refurbed might work out cheaper than buying a second hand one and at least you will know its good also got a side stand here was going to cut and extend it but it will be a while before i get round to it so if you want you can take it get it done and give me your old one when you fit the extended one :beerjug:

thanks for the offer on the shock rockchunk , but i bought a pair from borderraider the day when i was down picking a bike up with my mate , i was thinking of making up a footplate for the sidestand and bolting it on like a cuban heel / built up shoe :nenau:nenau i dont want to dig the welder out just yet mate , but thanks for the kind offer , i'll keep it in mind :beerjug:

Seeing as your all ripping off the standard shocks, I desperately looking for a standard front shock. I 'think' mine is U/S but I don't want/can't shell out for a new one on guess.:comfort

Anyone got one spare/cheap?:augie
