I don't think this is a common problem as search only brings up 1 reference to it but, in March whilst in Spain my fuel gauge went haywire and I noticed a vacuum in the tank when I opened the fuel cap. Must be breather that's blocked, after a bit of faffing and Uturn Tony kindly sucking the nozzle on the filler cap it was cleared and apart from the fuel gauge being permanently out all was well, until today. Cos it's happened again. The rubber hose is clear, it's something inside the filler. I've removed the whole assembly and put an airline to it as well as trying to flush clean fuel through it but it ain't playing ball.

Can it be stripped further?

Any other ideas?

Anyone had the same problem? Is something else causing this problem?

Might have answered my own question now. Theres a tip over thingy that stops fuel pissing out of the breather if you drop the bike. As I've been blowing through the nozzle with the assembly on it's side the valve has been shut:blast Though I suspect that's where the blockage was in the first place. Thoroughly cleaned it with petrol and an airline so hopefully no more trouble from there
