Me and her took a lockdown breaking ride today (we're still limited in Wales) to Cheltenham BMW for my 1200GSA TB's first MOT and 12k service. It wasn't just raining it was absolutely pi**ing down, it was biblical rain.

While we were there we took a 1250GS out for a little ride, in even more biblical rain.

When we returned to the dealer my dearly beloved :rose (been together for 50 years and married for 46) suggested that perhaps I would be better off with a smaller, lighter bike and she really liked the 1250GS Exclusive, particularly if it had those lovely gold spoked wheels :)

A few hours later the deal was finalised and now the GSA TB defarkeling must begin and the search for new GS Exclusive farkels begins :thumb2

Oh I do like riding in the rain!

Nice one. I went to Cotswold to test ride a 1250RS in January after Wessie recommended them and ended up ordering a 1250 GS Exclusive which arrived just before the lockdown and I'm returning there in just over a week's time for it's first service. So far I've added a MachineArt Mudsling and their x heads, a front fender extender, rear hugger and handguard extensions that are copies, a front crud catcher from ebay from a chap in Stourbridge, my hexezecan and bike cam from my previous 1200 and Chinese LED aux lights and light bar.

Personally I like the 1250 engine as even running it in it has plenty of punch to complete overtakes quickly and safely and the improvements they've made to the hillhold and GSAP were very welcome which you should find useful riding 2 up :beerjug:

My exclusive te gs arrives next wednesday!!!

hard to know where to start with bling, lots of pratical stuff but then care needed to avoid "tarts hadbag" look!!

I've got a lot of bits to take off the GSA, front and rear camera kit, Givi rear rack, hugger, mudsling, front mudguard extension, headlight protector, Givi tank ring, lowered footrests, handle bar risers and a few other bits I can't remember.

I've got a set of Altrider engine bars and GSA pannier racks coming so will be busy for a while, but happy busy !

Really good, I try also, but lucky I did not, or maybe unlucky, time will tell me.
