Fellow GSers... Is possible to fit the R1150GSA Aluminium Top Box and carrier to the standard R1150GS with the standard GS seat configuration, and if so do you have to modify anything?

Not a problem....
Fits ok with the standard seat. All you need to do is remove the grab bar, fit the topbox plate using the same bolts. You need to make a nut and bolt system to secure the back end of the top box plate. Away you go...
Thers is a rear support for the GS from wunderlich which when fitted has all the right holes for the rear bolts and it give extra support to the sub frame for your loaded top box.
Just for info the full pannier system will fit the GS with only the small mod mentioned above.
There is some where on the forum quite a few threads and picturess showing the fittings....
