Hi all,
My friend managed to break the beak on his 1200gsa 2018. Does anyone know if the beak from a standard gs will fit gsa? He's found a second hand one but it is from the 1250gs.
Many thanks

I think they do swap for the 1200

To check go on RealOEM and you can see the part numbers do not match

RealOEM has the ability to show you what parts are used across the BMW range (for example gs and gsa seats do swap)

Having had six "bikes with beaks" so far I am a little concerned about the damage beyond visible ie supporting brackets etc. These would need to be checked to be confident that any replacement would fit.

Good point, thanks.

I've got the same year GSA (2018) and a GS1250. The front beaks have different profiles and the location lugs are in different places. If i was your friend i wouldn't bother as looking at them at best it would need a bodge up and worse case it will be a bodge up and look a mess, best keep your eye open for a suitable GSA beak.

If you want i'll take some photo's, its easy to see. You can see the difference from both the top beak profiles and the location points underneath.

I can tell you for a fact that GS and GSA seats do swap.

The beak of a standard GS and a GSA are different. The standard is 1 piece and the GSA is in 2 pieces. The extension pice at the tip is also different.
