Guys, on my GSA TC I mounted my gopro on the crash bars and all was good....done the same with my GSA WC but getting some distortion over 6000 rpm.....where have you mounted your gopro on the new GSA?

My camera is a Garmin VIRB Elite which I tried on the crashbars of my GSA WC. However, the FOV includes too much bike so I have fitted one of th eadhesive mounts smack bang in the middle of the beak and will be trialing it next week.

Body or helmet mount is the way to go for the steadiest images

Perfect for off-road videos. Way less than perfect for on-road films, where you do not want the horizon staying boringly level.

To answer the OP's question: Experiment with mounting the camera wherever YOU like, it's part of the fun.

Trust me, I have experimented with crashbar mounts, handlebar mounts , screen frame mounts, chest mounts, even strapped to my boot ( that wasn't bad off-road). Drift have a special offer at the moment including their ski pole type device, which could be good if you have a pillion inboard. Stability is paramount or the vid will painful to watch.
AshR1, s vid is very professional.

Thanks guys. Beak mount sounds interesting.....let me know the results. That video is very nice, I'd never have considered a swingarm mount, was the rear facing a pannier mount? I've ordered some spare gopro sticky mounts and will try to get creative :)

Rear facing was on top of the top box. This was 2 or 3 years ago, I used 2 HD Heroes and edited the footage together using Final Cut Pro.

Tried my VIRB out today mounted on the beak and the result is excellent with little vibration. Wind noise over the microphone is an issue but I have ordered a wind-blocker to try and reduce the problem - the engine can be heard in the background. I fitted a ring to the bottom bolt of my headlight protector an then used some Kevlar string and a fishing snap-disconnect to make a ether - just in case it broke free but no problems. Result viewed full-screen on 27 inch Mac and is superb!

Thanks for the update Reckless.....think I'll give the beak a try myself this weekend. The underside of the beak also looks promising for a mounting point making the camera a little less visible. I always use a secondary fixing as you do after my Zumo 660 decided to wave goodbye on a rainy French motorway a few years ago :(
