Getting a new GSA :) the bloody gate may need to be widened :blast

Could one of you tell me the width of the GSA including the lower engine bars please? (if that is the widest part of the bike, without the panniers) The official width is listed as 39 in.

Tricky to measure exactly on your own but it looks like somewhere between 32 & 33 inches....I'm sure that it will just get through a 33 inch gate way okay.

If your clearance is minimum can I suggest that you put some old inner-tube or similar on your gate post to avoid the risk of scratching your engine bars, as it is inevitable that you will rub them from time to time.

It's your handle bars that are about 39 inches.

Thank you. :thumb2 Interesting observation on the width of the handlebars being 39in. Never thought about that. Somewhere assumed that the engine would be wider :D

I have a 2008 GSA and my garage door is narrower that the bike (just). It is the bars/mirrors that are the problem, not the crash bars. It requires a little left right shimmy and opposite lock but it goes in fine :)

98cm. Widest bit is the hand guard ends. I had to get a gate specially made by the side of my house and could just squeeze through with Alu panniers on.
