I thought about ordering from them but the Procycles place is just around the corner so not so far to go if the bike starts playing up!

I was quoted $25.6k for standard bike, no ABS, extra power socket, oh and the white indicators! Does that sound about right?

on road it is - noone will do much of a deal on these things as supply is so short. I bought a few more bits with mine though, so I can't comment directly on price (worked first service, another set of tyres, pannier rails etc into the price). Good choice on that dealer if you are close to them - heard lots of good things about them from people close to me. Hope your waiting period goes fast!

wow - book on the adv is $24 - clear indicators they'll do for nothing (or practically nothing) and no idea how much a poewr socket is but can't be that much.

abs is $1750, which you don't have.
lights are $500
pannier rails (no boxes) are ~$600
computer ~ $250.

delivery from melbourne I think is about $400, rego ~$500, stamp duty about $700, futzing around by dealer possibly about $500. (their margin on the bike is included in the book value of $24).

By my calcs, and all the places i've been to and seen the price sheets, $25.6k will get you a basic adv on road. Are you sure you've got the numbers right? What does your detailed receipt say? (or do you just have a deposit slip?). When I laid down the deposit I have them writeout all the costs for me, including delivery, and options plus extras.

I will be pay them a visit tomorrow and see what they say. I didnt put down a deposit (they said they would just sell it to someone else if I didnt want it) so dont have the price breakdown, he just added it all up and have me the price of $25.6. I just assumed that was the correct price. I dont want to get on the wrong side of them as I want to buy it from there but at the same time I dont like being ripped off!

go get em! PC hornsby quoted me a price on road - perhaps old mate did this for you and got his wires crossed or something. I'm sure it will be really easy to sort out.

Anyway gave them a call and "ol mate" is no longer there!

Spoke to someone else who seemed to think that the $25.6 was inc on road costs which sounds much better. Anyway will go in tomorrow and get some figures written down and a price confirmed. Maybe I should put a $1k down to make sure it's set in stone

As you said it does sound like crossed wires as they do have a pretty good reputation etc.

Yesterday my dealer told me to pick my bike up at 10.30 this morning, at 9.30 we were just about to get in the car and he called to say there is a problem! Wrong fecking colour! Now we are waiting for a call to tell us when a red one will arrive but as I ordered all the extras who knows?
Does this happen in the UK or is it only MotoSud 34 of Montpellier that make such mistakes?

On reflection I accept that these things happen but I really prefer they happen to other people I couldn't possibly ride the snot green thing, people might accuse me of being Welsh!!

Hopefully I will be on the road to meet Guitarman on Sunday!
