Great product :thumb2

Could you give me some idea of the measurements of the fixings tho' ?

I've just fitted some pannier rails from BEGR and would like to know if I can make the case fit them.

the measurements are bottom 300mm x height 285mm top 160mm to the angle cut, the front of the box is then 120mm high
the centre of the top clamp is 70mm in from the back of the box
the centre of the front clamp is 80mm in from the bottom of the box and 40mm below the cut angle.

Hope this helps

Does it catch on the BMW splashguard?...I've heard it does, but the Gs Emotion website shows it still fitted to their bike.

Ps....I must come down and check out your store very soon. :D

I have also seen this mentioned on a forum, however i am assured that it does not hit the splashguard.

It is waterproof up to a point, if you submerge it it will leak but in general use on the bike it should stay dry inside.

gs emotion

I bought 2 of these boxes last year for a friend and I and was pleasantly surprised as to how much stuff I could get in. Mine is on a 2010 gs the other on my friends 2009 gsa. We did a 6,500 mile trip together, both 2 up, on a mix of tarmac and gravel. Both boxes DO touch and have left a polish mark on the guard & box, there was evidence of this contact riding solo before the trip as well. Neither of us has felt anything at all whilst riding or noticed any deflection whilst following so it must be a very slight foul. The boxes have a radius of about 10mm on the bottom edge so will deflect rather than dig in. Both boxes are set as far out on the pannier frame as possible. My box is 100% waterproof, the other has let some water in. Maybe I need to tweak the lock catch on his box to pull it in tighter against the seal? Overall a good buy:thumb

Thanks for putting some feedback about the Alu case on the forum, from the sounds of things it does just rub on the splash guard and is not a real problem, I wonder if there is anyone out there with a Alu Case and a Mudsling fitted to there GS ? If I still had mine I would fit it and see what its like, I think it should be ok and the splash guard is then removed. If there is anyone out there with a GSA that has a mudsling on it and wants the case fitting I would be happy to fit it for you so as to see what iis like with a Mudsling (i would fit the Mudsling as well if needed) I would also give 10% discount on either or both to anyone who wants to offer to be the guinea pig and have them fitted at the Adventure Bike Shop.

Is the difference between the one for Touratech and for Bmw panniers just the position of the fitting bracket clamps?
Thanks,Jason

Thanks for the info Cliff.
Good luck with the sales.
I may see if it will fit an r1150gs with metal mule frames:augie
Unless you have seen one on an 1150?(with the correct engine size logo of course.)

BMWgsemotion raid box on my 2010 GSA. Great fit and really useful. After a days greenlaning (including several ford crossings) in the rain a few weeks ago I did find that it had a bit of moisture in the case but I just leave it open when I put the bike in the garage and it dries out each time.

Nice pictures, Glad to hear you are pleased with it, when you are just using the bike on the road and not going through fords has the box stayed dry inside ?

I may well change mine then as the Twalcom one we currently have is definitely not waterproof. I've had to wrap everything in it in polythene bags and the locking mechanism inside is rusty (I'd have treated it with AC50 earlier if I'd known water ingress was a problem).
