It started as a innocent chat...why don't you just come visit ...its not that far.

Foolishly i agreed in a moment of bravery.

So i started to prepare...i got out my equipment (settle down).

Boots - Furry
Waterproofs - Tena Lady (In case of laughter related bladder weakness)
Thermals - Sexy
Headgear - Woolly

I checked the support vehicle

Tyres -- Four
Front and Rear Screen - Frozen (Small visual circle cleared using credit card)
Lipstick Mirror - Clear


So after much consternation i thought..."I can do this...if those lads can ride to Gambia then i can bloody well drive to Haddington..."

I read Garfields trip to Dalkeith with amusement.....I HAVE A TWO BY FOUR...no it's not a plank of wood...its a Fiat with a 4x4 button.

I will keep you all updated with the weather conditions, other GS members who will be joining me on the road and any hilarious capers that occur on the way.

I'd be more worried about the Haddington natives than the trip there:eek:

MADE IT...

I had a few close calls in Tesco carpark as i went for supplies to assist in the final destination dinner task and then had to go back cause id been distracted by the reduced price chocolate mousse and forgot the chestnuts.

As i approached the East Lothian border there were short delays as checks were made of passports and papers (Sunday Mail, sport etc) but after a slow journey i made it to Haddington.

On arrival i consumed copious amounts of wine topped off by some 80% spiced rum.

Must have been something i ate as i feel a little ill today...hope i haven't got some sort of dhelli belly thing ...i don't travel to foreign places often...

Thanks for all your support...i couldn't have done it without you all.
