Not sure if this the right section, but it is computer related, sort of!

Anyway, I am trying to sort out aa remote, I think GSM activated< alarm/ cctv for my garage that will send, ideally an alarm/ picture to my + another phone, either or or together?

Have power in the garage would like to put a sensor on the door that triggers system and activates camera etc.

From my (incredibly) limited knowledge of these systems and via google it seems it may be possible.

Any advice where to go, anyone in west london who does this kind of thing, there's a job waiting.

Thanks in advance for all the tips and advise

Not quite the same thing but my shed and boiler room have wireless pirs and door sensors. These are linked to a wireless receiver module on the house alarm, which has a dialer. If activated, the house alarm goes off and I/wife/brother get a phone call on our mobiles.

Th wireless modules cost about £50 and were very simple to add to the existing house alarm panel.

gsm alarms

Thanks for info but garage is remote from my house and I don't have an alarm at home so I thought of the gsm route, still thinking!

If you have a Wifi signal in your garage then one of these

I use one in my bike shed (along with other sensors), it can be set to email images to you when motion detected. I use gmail so I get instant notification to my phone.

As the camera has pan & tilt I can check out the whole shed, here is a picture grab taken now of my bike (I am currently a couple of hundred miles from home)...

It says £935.99 FFS.

These are usually £30ish direct from China on eBay, e.g. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wireless-IP-Network-Pan-Tilt-Security-WIFI-Audio-CCTV-10-IR-Webcam-Color-Camera-/200860503399?pt=UK_CCTV&hash=item2ec4380d67

Hope no-one paid the higher price

"I owe you my sincere apologies for the caused trouble Sir.
Well the price has been raised to due the Non availability of stock, So that no one would order it for now..
Once its made back in stock, the price will be reduced back to its original, That would be taking the 9 out from the price..
If there is anything i can do, let me know..
Have a pleasant day..

That's my heart rate back to normal then. I've been looking at the system that Maplins sell but not settled on anything yet. This definitely looks good :thumby:
