Up for hopefully a quick sale
The bike has a clutch related (I think) rattle that has been present for the last 1200-1500 miles and displays zero signs of not functioning completely fine. I ride it a lot and just yesterday came back from a return trip from London to Dorset. I presume there is something up, but as it’s not had any effect on my riding it I’ve left it and will leave it up to the new owner. I’m heading overseas for a while to work and have decided to sell at what I think is a more than fair price. The tank and parts alone must be worth more than what I’m after, which is £1500-no offers under any circumstance please.
It’s 2005
As you can see the front end/beak etc have been professionally removed by Pier City Customs at their workshop on the south coast and a Unit Garage headlight etc fitted giving it a a street scrambler look (purists save your breath). The speedo/taco is digital and works perfectly.
Headlight grill from Unit Garage and fork gaiters installed
There is a give rack installed, I’m including the panniers. The top box locking mechanism broke, so I bolted it to the rear rack below with a 13mm bolt which takes a min to remove.
I have both original factory keys and two factory alarm fobs. All work as they should
The heated grips work perfectly.
I will include the engine crash bars, not in photo-nor are the Givi panniers
All the parts that were removed by them were placed in a bag and go along with the bike should you wish to take it back to standard. Beak, speedo, the lot. But not labeled so if you enjoy puzzles there you go.
Tyres re relatively new, perhaps done 800 miles or so.
It starts on the button always
New battery a year ago
Has a chip-forget which-installed from before I got it.
Tank is tatty, was replayed professionally and the BMW stickers are underneath the lacquer. Colour is official BMW white-is it Alpine? Can’t recall
Seat needs a good clean
Was professionally re covered in red
Remus end can and down pipes so cat removed
6 months ago the both front and rear suspension which was knackered so I put a YSS both
I’ve got the V5 here in my name
Any work done over the few years I’ve had it has been done by Steptoe who is a personal friend
It had a new starter motor two years ago
Has new spark plugs
Front brake master cylinder overhauled 9 months ago
The photo was taken before Christmas after I’d cleaned it.
It’s been outside my house and doesn’t look a good now, just dirt/rain/traffic
Any questions please ask and I’ll try to answer asap
Apart from the slight noise mentioned it runs perfectly and has never let me down
75,468 miles which genuine-when the work was done Stuart at Pier City simply set the digital clock to the correct mileage
This can be verified by old mot certificates if I can find them.
