I think there will be a few here that will enjoy this pimped Guzzi parked at a little cafe. It was only when a friend commented that’s a “Gulf Guzzi”. Sifting through my brain back catalogue of bikes I responded “eh?” Turns out it’s a simple as the colour scheme from the Gulf Oil racing team.

I do sometimes wonder about myself :ROFLMAO:

Gulf colours per se can be stunning. Ive seen a V75 in them it looked great. But rocker cover boxes in orange AND that front mudguard, not for me either. The Gulf 12 sign looks like its been nicked off a canal bridge

What was the builder actually aiming for,. Some styling parts look cafe racer, others suggest an off road pastiche, then a bit of bobber and as for the brown seat ????? Problem with so many specials based on BMW airheads and Guzzis is the lack of direction in the styling and completion

I’m not keen on the bar end indicators or the brown seat, or the plastic bag wrapped gauge, but I think it looks like (and suspect it goes, stops and handles like) a fast road bike, and I guess it’s comfortable.

It gets my vote.

Not sure about that one. How about this one I spotted on the IOM🤔
Edit.... Oooh, that's better Brian😎

A lot of work gone into that rear end.

The spoked wheels seem to be at odds with the modern U/D forks.

But I’m impressed that the builder has provided a solution to the rear frame under the seat. Compare this one with the Gulf bike in the first pic where the arse end is just hanging there.

The arse end of the Gulf bike is pure Tonti. No frame mod = can return to standard.

The other one looks “finished” though.

What’s the middle one you posted, 1200s?

TBars, Brown hipster seat, knobblies, bodged rear mudguard and to top it all the colours
A little bit of sick has just come up

Yuk to the T3 based Gulf thing... just wow. Love the Griso though, that works well.
