If going in September prices rocket, have a look at lecco, train station on the doorstep and easy to get to other places around the lake if not riding or driving. We used a fantastic air bnb a few years ago, I'll see if I can find the details. Private secure bike parking as well.

Thanks very much Ron, finally planning to go for the celebration on the 4th Sept. Air bnb might just be a great idea as there will be a few of us going. Maybe some WAGs too...

I stayed in this place in 2018, it was superb, just a couple of kms up the side of the lake from the factory, secure parking, excellent home made food, pool, balcony on the lake

We stayed at the Hotel Grigna in the town , secure underground parking , five minutes walk from the factory
