Jeez, there are some very pedantic and grumpy fuckers on there! What would they make of this place? 😎

It can be toxic at times with Todd (administrator) and a few others there, which is too bad. I like Grisoghetto and Wildgoose, next to here of course. :)

I upset Todd by asking if there were any other postage options for a wheel removal tool or if I could purchase it to hold it and have it sent to me in the US when I’m over in September, you’d think I’d requested permission to exhume his grandma and then violate her pooper with a hot poker 😂

I’ve also been ticked off for profanity before to, but it’s the same with most American based forums.

Oh and posting a link to another site that sold something GT didn’t.

I go on that site now and then usually to garner technical info. There's no banter or craic to speak of, I like here for that despite the appeasement to the easily offended. I find the Guzzi and RE sections on UKGSer can be quite informative.

I agree Al.....this place has always been the primo site for all things GS and that continues today.....BUT, its its gaining similar standing for all models of BMW bikes and just about every other brand on the market today..... so no need to pack it in if you change (temporarily or permanently) from a GS, just hang around for the 'entertainment' and the tech back up for whatever brand/model you choose to ride 😀👍

Agreed. I was looking on here long before I bought my first GS and will stay whether or not I continue to own one. It's a great information resource. The pub is almost like the daily mail online a lot of the time but no one has to visit.

When I was in Normandy for the 80-th D Day commemoration, I was fascinated by all the A1 restored Jeeps, so I thought there must be a forum for those guys.

I found one, and the very first post was a stern reminder about forum standards as someone had said something a bit fruity and all hell had let loose.....

I had to laugh - the subject matter might differ, but people are people and the same character types pop up everywhere.

... except this place, goodness knows what you'd have to say to get banned from here! :-)
