H&B bars on a eleven

[(RIP) Yosi]

Have this bars for a while now and I'm thinking fitting them to my eleven hundred.
However, on the right hand side the back of the bar attach to a bolt where the sub frame join the engine (or rather the gearbox). But in the way is a rigid brake line coming from the back brake.

Has anyone fitted H&B bars and encountered this problem?
(and found a solution...)

removing the subframe bolts will result on the whole bike desintegrating in bits a pieces?

Keen to hear opinion's...

Yosi, fitting the bars is a simple job... just use a methodical approach.... the small bracket that attaches to the end of the rear right mounting 'should' clear the brake pipe.

Does your polly belt need changing soon? if it does do it before you fit the bars as removal of the front belt cover is impossible with the bars on

Yosi,

Check that you have the right spacers as well. Mine supplied were too short and so I ran the risk of bolt snappage. Thanks to Tony the Mechanic, now fitted properly. They should be longer than the holes they go in, hence pulling bars and frame together onto the engine block.

Do them one side at a time, securing the middle bolt first, though not fully, as you'll need to jigger poke about to get the bars to fit together. The bracket should give ample clearance of the brake lines.

When securing the rear bolts, just be aware that there might be teeeeny slippage of the subframe and engine, this will manifest itself as the bolt being "stiff"and so being difficult to tighten, you might even get a false torque reading when finally tightening. Move both around until the bolt slips in and turns nice and smoothly.

And you shouldn't need to take the tank off, I didn't. Just push it back, there's room

Bars

Thanks everybody. looking at the pictures on the other thread seems that I lost that bracket to fix the bar at the back RHS.
Damm, will have to fabricate something...

Or replace the bike. The Adv come with them as standard...
