H&B engine bars to 94 1100

Hi
I have a set of engine bars from H&B but haven't fitted them yet for a couple of reasons.
1. the angle bar doesn't seem to me to fit over the ABS lines properly
2. I got a set of longer set of bolt spacers from motobins but I loose quite a bit of thread on bolt. I end up with about 15mm.

Is there any one out there that has fitted these bars to this model GS with success that would be willing to lend the benefit of their experience?

I bought a pair of H&B's and had to send them back. I have the Touratech hard parts fitted to support the rear sub frame on my 1100, unfortuneatly the bars require fitting to the same rear subframe bolt. I also had the same problem of fitting them over the hard ABS pipes. Didn't look like they go.
