But not in the usual way .........

I went out on a job to fit 10w Cree spotlights to a shiny new Wasserhead today.
It was my first play with one of these new jobbies and I have to say it's a lovely bike. (although I didn't ride it!)

From an electrical installation perspective it's very nice to work on and the remote battery power connections are excellent. The bike is however very tight for space, There is no space under the rider seat. I carried out a very simple installation but fitting an additional fuse box will require careful planning as would the likes of an Autocom etc. There is a little space under the pillion seat but it is exposed to water ingress from the rear wheel.

Here's the pics .......

Great Job

Hi Chris

Thanks for a great job on my new GS yesterday, a very tidy and neat install, one very happy customer.

Cheers Again - 10 out of 10

Nice Job :D

BUT! Those hand guards are upside down :blast

The left one should be on the right ,and the right on the left, ooops :blast

Makes you wonder how well the rest has been assembled

I'd be confident in the servicing from that particular dealer wouldn't you:blast

Make sure that when you are sitting on the bike that you are able to see the speedo. If not your sitting the wrong way. :augie

Very nice bike and very tidy install. :bow

I just noticed that BMW went to the trouble of putting "BMW" on each screw. :eek

Make sure that when you are sitting on the bike that you can see your rev counter. If not you have a BMW sat-nav fitted! Hee Hee!

Great spots, great bike!

I hope not too much, I've got my autocom, power filter and bluetooth unit under the passenger seat(covered by a piece of plastic). Any water, I think, is liable to come in from under the edge of the seat, noticed this when I was out in a deluge.

There are two holes in the under tray directly above the rear wheel. They're moulded to attach something below but I didn't look at what. These could be sealed in one way or another. Just something to consider :thumb
