Had my first play with a Wasserhead today .....

As you have got down and dirty with the WC do you think the battery is the same as the out going model? I am thinking of keeping my odessey battery if I should change in the future...

I didn't get anywhere near the battery to be honest as it's buried under the tank panels. I was able to use the remote terminals. There is another thread on here somewhere which talks about getting the battery out :thumb

Off on a bit of a tangent here ... but if i stick an optimate on the bike (when I get it ) can the permanent 'optimate battery socket thingy part' be screwed on to the remote terminals or does it need to go directly onto the battery .. ?? :thumb

You can go onto the remote terminals fella ... 5 minute job :thumb

Battery is smaller, 12ah as opposed to 14ah, physically smaller I don't know.....

Hi, install looks great. Are the aux lights wired as BMW led aux fit meaning they will not light with day running lights, only with dipped headlight? The BMW oem I understand it give a choice of drl or dip and aux LEDs.. Thanks, Neal.

Can someone please verify that I'm not being a complete numpty?

I have wired in a fused socket for the pillion heated clothing as follows:
removing the battery cover I've connected the +ve to the small terminal just above the thingy with the black cover on (which I can't seem to get off) and for the -ve I've gone direct to the battery. Is there a remote terminal for the -ve as well, if so I seem to have missed it!! A piccy would be perfect.

lights

Hi
The lights aren't wired like BMW would wire them so they do work with the daytime running lights and the dipped headlight too.

Ian, As far as any questions regarding the battery, Chris aka Tunneruk is your man to help.

Regards
Andy

No, you haven't missed anything. There is a remote +ve terminal but you still use the battery -ve.

Very good little video there fella. There is a spectacular moment at about 1.20 which is well worth watching ............

You've got that absolutely spot on fella. That 'thingy' is the Can Bus connection so BMW can connect straight into your bank account and drain it :thumb
