Halvarssons clothing

I have had a Halvarssons jacket for about 7 years now, and apparently its wearing out (not good value to a yorkshireman) . I've looked at the current gear and it looks good.

BUT, has anyone used any of the newer stuff ?. is it still as good as the older stuff ?.

I have never had the old gear from Halvarsson, but bought the Prime jacket and Prince trousers as soon as they came out.

I think that was about April this year, been out in freezing temps, sleet torrential rain and sweltering heat.

Been warm dry and cool
Wouldn't want anything else.

Bought a pair of Halvarssons Zen trousers in 2011. Never let any water in in the 30 000 odd miles here and abroad. Used all year. After 2 years I had the zip start to slide open about 4 cm from the top ~(probably due to me gaining a few pounds). Bykebitz were very quick to respond and have them sent off repair at their expense. Have now just had the zip pull open, or come off its rails etc. Spoke top Gareth at Bykebits again, told him I had them since 2011 and about the repair. No quibble he said -zips and repairs are guaranteed 2 years, don't sweat it. Bring em in and we'll get it repaired free again. Class service and a class product backed up by good, reasonable warranties. Would deffo buy Halvarsson again.

I wear their Lindstrands (same company) Qatara jacket and TT trousers in the summer, which are great. For winter I went to Branded Biker (J&B Motorcycles) in Boston Lincs (who have a good Halvarssons display) to buy the Halvarsons Prime jacket and Prince trousers, but their largest sized jacket was fractionally too small. It did look to be a top bit of kit though.

Only thing to watch on the prime jacket is the pocket flaps are held shut by magnets, I had to get my hotel room keycard replaced as a result, oops

Good comfy kit that looks well made and not too expensive.

I use the Halvarsson's safety jacket and its a very versatile system. You can start the day off with the waterproof outer, and when the weather warms up later that day, swap the outer for a vented one.

Waterproof and well made.

I have the Panzar jacket and am really impressed so far. Fantastic against the cold and wet, and very breathable in the warm too.

I can highly recommend Tony at Skins Cafe in Brackley. Excellent product knowledge and very helpful.
