Anybody familiar with these? How waterproof are they? How warm are they with heated grips? Comfortable? comments? Snide remarks?

...I had pair and used them every day for a year, almost to the day, until they stopped being waterproof.
...was supposed to send them back to get a new pair but forgot. Been using them as spares this summer....

I have 2 pairs (a 10 and an 11 which are my preferred pair!)
Anyhows.... how warm??? nicely toasty, very good and well pleased.
there again i would be biased because i have the jacket, trousers and boots. the back protector and the neck tube as well.

Can i just make comment re the heated grips...... don't use the grips on heated in the rain
the way that the waterproof membrane works is confused by the heat and changes the materials attributes...which then works in reverse and allows water in??
Same with any goretex membrane i believe
